Judging ProcessROUND ONEFor the five main award Categories (Competition, Reality, Non-Fiction, Lifestyle, Digital & Branded Content), realscreen will assemble a first-round panel of programming executives, distributors and respected non-fiction and factual entertainment producers. The judges will either be currently working in the category they’re judging or will have significant past work experience in that field. Judges will assess all of the entries we receive for the awards in their respective category on a scorecard against a provided set of criteria that covers each of the creative components covered by the Creative Talent & Craft Award criteria. Based on cumulative scores, the top-scoring programs in each category will make it onto a shortlist and continue onto Round Two. ROUND TWOFor Round Two, a second panel of Category judges comprised of senior-level programming executives, distributors and producers not affiliated with any of the programs up for awards will assess each of the shortlisted entries in their respective categories using the same scorecard and criteria. The combined results from Rounds One and Two will determine a winner in each of the categories. CREATIVE TALENT & CRAFT AWARDSThe Creative Talent & Craft Award winners will be determined by the cumulative scores given for each corresponding creative component by the first and second round panels.
