Synopsis:

Get Hooked is a 6-part unscripted series that follows four queer millennial women as they fish (catch & release) with guides from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Through escaping their comfort zones, they find the community they were searching for in nature. Get Hooked breaks down barriers to the mental health benefits of nature and changes the narrative around queer, black, brown, indigenous, and disabled people in the outdoors.

Episode 1: Demeisha Dennis from Brown Girl Outdoor World and the group (Faye Marsay (Adolescense, Star Wars Andor) and her best friends Vik, Emma and S.J. travel from the U.K. to Ontario Canada to go fly fishing on the Madawaska River and learn about indigenous technology from Christine Luckasavitch. They reflect on the importance of creating community when you don’t have one.
